Sara,
Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing. Admire you.

Have been trying to get support for a mini prototype, multigenerational, societal representative confirguration of an Alternative, Voluntary, Intentional Community (AVICOM). Can see how the idea of your Freelancers Union could be applied to organizing and running AVICOM. Believe this, because I see all the parts of a community, seemingly different, sharing the same basic desires and needs -- justifying coming together to form a union -- and realizable when based upon and focused on securing the general welfare and common good of the whole community.

The objective of such a reconstruction of community, to me, is its guarantee of social justice. Based on this basic principle: each member having access to what it needs for its own perfection: pursuing its own perfection without denying the access of another to do so -- all members in so doing, contibutiong to the common good and general welfare -- the perfection of the whole.

A necessary companion principle is: the resources to achieve this end, no matter how distributed through out the world, belong to all, for, again, the general welfare and common good of the whole.

Hope I don't present myself as too innocently idealistic in my desire and hope to realize AVICOM. I was enthralled by your concept of unionizing diverse trades and skills to secure the needs of all -- akin to realizing the common good and general welfare of your membership. Am writing to inquire whether you see a commonality and applicability of your Freelancers Union to my hoped for AVICOM.

I am a retired senior citizen living in a retirement community. Have been interested and engaged in alternative communities most of my life. Would like to see even the littlest progress made in realizing AVICOM before what we here euphemistically call our passing. Thank you, Sara. Would appreciate hearing form you.

As a freelancer myself, thanks for your efforts. Come to think of it, I do not have any retirement plans yet and it's true that it would be a big problem later on.

Would you be interested with the Young Entrepreneur Society from the www.YoungEntrepreneurSociety.com? It is full of meaningful resource for the entrepreneur.
