I thought the whole point of a program like Dreamweaver was to save all the time wasted doing code. For my money, and for the many sites I have designed, the code only comes in when it is needed...usually at the end of a project or if something simply doesn't work.

Some people have to make controversial statements like "Dreamweaver is a waste of time" but at the same time they build a blog for their dog. Come on, as a designer I work in both design and code mode on three different web editors including DW and they all do the job adequately. Dreamweaver is the most widely used so it becomes the target.

Loved reading his insight but have to ask one question. Why do so many people have such an issue with programs like DreamWeaver. I own a small design shop which we also do our own coding and feel quite comfortable hand coding and using DW. It really to me has always felt like a. Great tool. Am I missing something?? Again great post
